Cryogenic Mist

This formula took me two years to refine. While I have always loved blue, fresh, and clean scents, I wanted to take the concept in a direction that provides a physically cold, crisp experience. This is not a linear fragrance. I chose to lean into the evolution of the dry down, which in this case could be called a "melt down." As the composition warms and evaporates, it reveals new notes that were previously locked within an icy core.
My goal was to replicate the frigid mist rising from a freshly filled beaker of liquid nitrogen on a stainless steel lab bench. It is the scent of flash-freezing roses and shattering them to demonstrate how matter changes at cryogenic temperatures. Initially, the fragrance hits with the frostbite of a sharp minty accord. As the frost begins to sublimate, a sparkling, icy grapefruit emerges. This citrus then dissolves into fresh, transparent shards of rose petals.
Finally, the rose gives way to the impressions of stainless steel, polished glass, and high-tech equipment. These notes form the foundation that remains after the ice has melted away.
