Nostalgic Excitement | Expansive Fruit | Vivid Depth
This began as an experiment with a fruity accord I was working on in the cold winter of 2025. What I ended up creating was instantly nostalgic, fun, and familiar: a photorealistic scent of the bright red fruit punch every kid (and grown-up) loves. I enjoyed coming back for a sniff every now and then, though I wasn't initially sure if it was something anyone would actually want to wear.
After sharing a small sample with my sister and a friend, their positive reactions convinced me to revisit the formula and see what I could do to help that fruit punch accord grow up.
I darkened the base and added richness using Labdanum, Benzoin, and Vanilla, then introduced aged wood notes to provide subtle boozy facets. Paired with a finely tuned musk accord, this created a solid foundation to expand the heart with Davana, which tilts that boozy note toward aged rum while exalting the fruitiness. To keep the blend from feeling overly heavy or dark, I brought in Lily of the Valley to clean and brighten the core.
Finally, I elevated the whole composition using high-quality Blood Orange, Bergamot, Lemon, Pink Grapefruit, and Green Mandarin to add sparkle and shimmer across the top. I even included hints of fresh-cut grass to evoke the feeling of standing outside on a hot summer night watching a pyrotechnics display.
The result is an exciting contrast of an instantly recognizable, fun, sweet opening set against a dark, rich foundation: like the vivid explosion of red fireworks against a hot summer night sky. This is where the name Strontium comes in: the element responsible for giving fireworks their intense, brilliant red color.
